Preserve at Astor Farms lays away from the busy streets of metro Orlando. The community is situated at the end of a long dedicated drive and backs to the Black Bear nature preserve. Black Bear Wilderness Area encompasses approximately 1600 acres in northwest Seminole County, where you will find a variety of wetland habitats within the floodplain of the St Johns River. Wet prairie, hydric hammock and cypress swamps form a mosaic of habitat diversity which host wildlife such as the white-tailed deer, swallow-tailed kite and the Florida black bear. This land is an important piece in a puzzle connecting natural areas between the Wekiva and St. John’s basins and the Ocala National Forest.

Preserve at Astor Farms’ homes were constructed by Engle Homes, Landstar, and Toll Brothers between 2002 to 2007. There are 290 single family homes within this gated subdivision with quarterly HOA fees averaging around $227. The homes range from 2,200 to 3,900 square feet. About 60% of the homes have a private pool. Homes are currently listing and selling from $385K to $580K.
