Florida welcomed a record-setting term of 54.1 million visitors between January and June according to the tourism industry Visit Florida.

Gov. Rick Scott commented in a news release this is the most visitors to ever come during the first two quarters of the year.

Scott also  mentioned he would like to exceed the goal of 100 million visitors to Florida this year.   Florida recorded 99 million visitors in 2014.

An estimated 2.7 million overseas visitors and 1.2 million Canadians came  to Florida from April to June of 2015.
